This website is meant to be a quick resource guide for
selecting courses at the U of C. From links to the Registrar's
Office, to advice from College Advisers, to our growing
online syllabi database, this website offers an array of
information that will help you choose your courses.
Currently, Student Government, the Dean of Students Office
in the College and the University, and NSIT are collaborating
to build an extensive online syllabus database. The syllabus
database is meant to aide students through the process of
selecting classes by allowing students to examine a course's
requirements before registration. As such, we hope to facilitate
the registration process by providing students with some
insight into the courses they plan on taking. To access
the syllabi, follow these easy steps:
- Click on the Chalk
link
- Click the "login" button on the top left
portion of the page.
- On the login screen, click the "preview" button
on the lower left portion of the page.
- You will now see three tabs at the top of a welcome
page. Click the "Courses" tab.
- You may now browse the course catalog on the right side
of the screen, or search for the course by name (for example,
"ECON 200" or "Ice Age Earth") or
by five-digit course number (for example, "20100")
- Click on the course web site to access details about
the course, including the syllabus if it is available.
- Click on the syllabus link on the left hand side of
the screen to view that course's syllabus. The collection
of syllabi is growing fast, and we hope to obtain a majority
of course syllabi very soon.
Also, we encourage students to browse the Course
Evaluations Website as a way of seeing what other students
think about certain courses. In the past, this feature has
been helpful to many students, particularly 1st and 2nd
year students who are beginning their search for concentration
classes.
We welcome your input to ensure this site is up to date
and informative. Should you have any feedback or questions
about this website or the syllabi content, please contact
